School Principal Leaves To Ensure Fed Money

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A principal at a Lincoln elementary school is leaving in order to insure that more federal funding will be available to the school. It's her choice, but administrators and parents think it's a decision the principal should never have to make.

California is in line to receive at least $31.5 billion in federal stimulus funding, much of which will help plug budget shortfalls to education and other programs, state officials reported Tuesday.
