Plymouth saving federal money for next year

PLYMOUTH — Under the new federal Education Jobs Fund Bill the school district is set to receive $569,696. The Board of Education will not meet to decide what to do with it until September, but it will probably be held over until next year, said Superintendent Anthony Distasio.

Grant, bond spending must go on

Updates to the flagpole area in front of Muskogee High School are funded by a 2007 bond issue. The new area will feature flower beds and a wall where senior classes can place commemorative plaques.
